Well, I made this gifset for obvious reasons. I’ve seen some people saying Sam and Dean didn’t care one bit about Adam, that they left him there and didn’t even give a shit about it. This was Dean’s face while Adam screamed for help. Sam wasn’t capable of helping Adam, he had to be carried away from there, so let’s just rule Sam out of the question. Dean helped Adam get up and asked him if he could walk. Adam said yes. Dean thinking Adam was right behind him, went to help Sam up. Sam wasn’t capable of walking like Adam said he was. So Dean helped Sam out. But instead of running away, Adam stood there for a couple of seconds. When he got back to his senses and followed Dean, it was too late. The door closed. Dean tried to go back and save him. He touched the door handle but it was burning hot. Anyways, my point is: he tried. Dean tried saving Adam. If you guys don’t remember, he was the one who walked away. He was the one who went there even though Sam and Dean told him not to. So when I see someone saying Sam and Dean don’t care about anyone other than themselves… Well. I call it bullshit!  They spend their lives saving people they don’t even know. They’re constantly sacrificing their own happiness to help other people in any way. For fuck’s sake, they saved the god damned world! Of course, if I had to choose between my brother who I love and took care of since we were kids, and a kid I just got to know it was my brother, I’d choose the first one. But Dean didn’t have to make that choice. He didn’t choose. He tried saving both. About not ever talking about him again… Sam and Dean deal with things this way. They mourned their own father’s death for two weeks or so. They don’t talk about people they loose. It’s just how it goes. They lost a lot of people. So that’s just their own way of protecting themselves from the pain. So yes, they do care about Adam. But… what could they have done, really?

I’m seriously a little scared of Jensen. When he laughs and smiles, he’s so warm and amazing. But his default expression scares the hell out of me. He seems so guarded and a little angry.

It’s not just in this photoset, not at all (photoset from padashorty, btw). This set is just what made me think of my reaction to many clips and images, and I didn’t have time to track down an off-set example (since maybe he’s being kinda mean here because he’s in character). It’s all the time. In clips from convention Q&As, still photos, etc.

Jared doesn’t ever have that truly scary edge to him, not even when he has to play it on camera as DemonBlood Sam or LuciferSam. Jared’s just pure joy and light. Jensen seems like he’s got some dark stuff going on in his head, or that he’s sad or unhappy IRL sometimes.

I’m going to VanCon and DallasCon this year. Eager to meet both of them, of course, but I’m honestly apprehensive about meeting Jensen. I’ve got a J2 photo op, and am considering adding a Jared-only one, but I would never get just a Jensen op.

Any of you notice that about Jensen before?

Aargh, I find it so frustrating on Jensen’s behalf when people don’t understand him. People will keep comparing him to Jared, and the two are nothing alike! Jensen IS ‘guarded’, he’s reserved, he’s shy, he’s very private and even his sense of humour is quiet and dry generally. But all I’ve ever heard from people meeting him is that he’s warm, and sweet and kind and makes you feel like you’re the only person there, listens to everything you say and does his best to put you at ease! Really, please stop misunderstanding the poor guy people! :(

Anyway, I actually LOVE that he’s guarded (I’ve never seen him as looking ‘angry’, more very deep in thought often) coz I find it mysterious and sexy. I always want to know what’s going on inside that pretty head! :)
